Peng Lei obtained his BSc degree in pharmacy from Wuhan University in June 2009. Prior to joining our group, he built a solid foundation in both discovery and process chemistry. He worked at WuXi AppTec and Chempartner as an FTE for Merck and Abbott for three years. Followed by a two-year stint at glmenthol, he joined Suli Pharmaceutical Technology, focusing on the process development of pharmaceutical APIs and intermediates.

He joined the Chen Lab at SIMM in October 2019, where his research interest centers on the synthesis of NIR-II dyes and radionuclide theranostic drugs.

Beyond his chemistry expertise, Peng Lei is a true "geek" who enjoys exploring novelties—especially in IT technologies. Notably, he personally built and actively maintains this laboratory website!
